Abstract
The way a doctor communicates with a patient demonstrates not only his education, but also his level of breeding, inner generosity and kindness. Sensitive and attentive attitude to the patient indicates mercy. A doctor needs to follow speech etiquette, i.e. know word forms of courtesy and politeness. What are these forms? How and in what conditions they should be used? What can lead to misunderstandings and cause mistrust of a patient when communicating with a doctor? These and other questions are going to be discussed in this article.
