IN MEMORY OF – RYSKUL IMANKULOVICH IMANKULOV, SERGEY FEDOROVICH LESOGOROV

Abstract

R.I. Imankulov was born in 1938 in the village of Kyrk-Kazyk, Talas Region. In 1960, he enrolled at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Voronezh State Medical Institute, graduating in 1965. From 1965 to 1966, he worked as a resident doctor in the general surgery department of the Akhunbaev Clinic. In 1966, he was appointed, following a competitive selection process, as an assistant at the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute, where he worked until 1995. In 1982, he defended his PhD thesis in Perm, Russian Federation, on the topic: ‘Purulent complications in fractures of the mandible’.

 

13 May would have marked the 60th birthday of the universally respected and beloved Sergei Fedorovich Lesogorov; sadly, he passed away suddenly on 1 March 2022, but he lives on as long as our memory of him remains! Sergey Fedorovich Lesogorov was born on 13 May 1962 into a family of doctors in Frunze, Kyrgyz SSR. In 1979, he enrolled at the Kyrgyz State Medical Institute (KSMI) in the Faculty of Dentistry, graduating with honours in 1984. From 1984 to 1986, he undertook clinical residency training at the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the KSMU. From 1986 to 1988, he served in the Soviet Army. From 1988 to 2010, he worked as a dental surgeon in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the National Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2009, Sergey Fedorovich defended his PhD thesis on the topic: ‘Improvement of the surgical method for the treatment of chronic odontogenic perforating sinusitis using an autoplasma membrane’.
