COMPUTED CAPILLAROSCOPY IN CHILDREN IN THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF DISEASES ACCOMPANIED BY PROLONGED COUGH

The article is devoted to investigating the informative value of computer nail-bed capillaroscopy in children for the differential diagnosis of diseases accompanied by prolonged cough. The aim of the study was to assess the capabilities of this method, which makes it possible to evaluate the condition of capillaries in real time. The method was applied in the examination of 238 patients aged 2 to 17 years with prolonged and chronic cough. During the study of structural features of the microvascular bed in respiratory pathology of various genesis, it was found that the capillary network in patients with allergic respiratory diseases was characterised by weak differentiation at the level of the third capillary echelon, as well as by a higher frequency of morphologically altered capillaries. It was established that in allergic respiratory diseases there were significant changes in the arterial part of the capillaries and a considerable increase in the length of the perivascular zone, especially in bronchial asthma, compared with the indicators in patients with infectious and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system. In patients with infectious and inflammatory respiratory diseases, changes in the parameters of the venous section of the capillaries were more often observed, which may indicate a decrease in adaptation processes of the capillary bed under the influence of an infectious agent. It is shown that significant changes in the arterial part of the capillary network and an increase in the length of the perivascular zone in children with allergic respiratory diseases can be used for differential and early diagnosis.
