PRENATAL RISK FACTORS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FETUS HYPOXIA AND THEIR OUTCOME

Abstract

The article is devoted to assessing the consequences of prenatal fetal hypoxia on the basis of an analysis of statistical data on the health status of pregnant women, women in labour, puerperas and newborns for the period 2017–2021. The aim of the study was to examine the outcomes of prenatal fetal hypoxia and the dynamics of perinatal losses in the Republic of Tajikistan. The research material was based on data from statistical reporting form 32 approved by the Agency on Statistics under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The analysis showed that the number of live births in the country varied from 229,183 in 2017 to 231,018 in 2021, while during the same period the number of children born ill or who became ill in the perinatal period increased. It was shown that 9,038 children, accounting for 7.5% of newborns in this group, died before the end of the neonatal period. It was also established that despite a certain decrease in the overall number of stillbirths, the absolute number of fetuses who died in the intranatal period increased. It was concluded that the rise in the number of children born ill or falling ill, together with the increase in intranatal losses, indicates the continuing significance of prenatal fetal hypoxia and the need for further improvement of antenatal surveillance and perinatal care.
