THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION IN SPEAKING WELL

The article is devoted to examining the importance of communication in the formation of speech culture as an essential component of a person’s general culture. The paper emphasises that under modern social demands, special importance is attached to speech culture, scientific understanding of its main issues, and the teaching of speech culture in schools and higher educational institutions. The article briefly reveals the essence of speech culture, the relationship between language and speech, their connection with text, and the role of communication in the development of communicative skills. It is shown that the development of speech culture is closely connected with the development of thinking and exists with it in dialectical unity. It is noted that teaching speech culture is one of the major needs of modern society, since different speech styles, genres and text types are formed in close connection with the cultural development of society. It is concluded that communication has a significant influence on the formation of the overall culture of the individual and determines the level of mastery of literary language, speech etiquette and language standards.
